AI Workshop for Leaders Start Learning
The East Midlands is home to a strong cluster of manufacturing, life sciences, professional services and technology businesses, and Nottingham is its commercial centre. For the senior leaders running those organisations, AI is no longer a future agenda item; it's a present-tense decision. Our in-person AI Workshop for Leaders in Nottingham is designed for exactly that: practical, strategic AI training for leaders who need to act with confidence.
The full-day Leaders AI Workshop in Nottingham runs at the Mercure Nottingham Sherwood, with a 2026 date available.
Why Nottingham?
Nottingham and the wider East Midlands sits at the centre of UK manufacturing, life sciences and life sciences supply chains, with a strong concentration of professional services and a growing tech sector. The city is home to two major universities, the Boots HQ, and a number of substantial mid-market and large organisations who are now actively planning AI investment. For leaders here, the workshop offers a way to think clearly about AI without travelling to London or Manchester.
Our Nottingham workshop is held at the Mercure Nottingham Sherwood, a 4-star hotel at 296 Mansfield Road, NG5 2BT, in the Sherwood/Mapperley area of Nottingham, around 1.5 miles north of the city centre.
The hotel is around 2.4 km from Nottingham city centre, with regular bus services running from Gregory Boulevard bus stop just around the corner. Nottingham railway station is a short taxi ride away, with direct trains to London St Pancras (around 1h 45m), Birmingham, Sheffield and Leeds. East Midlands Airport is around 12 miles south. For drivers, there's a complimentary on-site car park with capacity for up to 250 vehicles, useful for delegates travelling in from across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and South Yorkshire.
The Mercure Sherwood has 172 modern, recently refurbished guest rooms, twelve flexible event spaces (including the Regent Suite, which holds up to 200 delegates theatre-style), and excellent on-site facilities. Meeting rooms come with high-spec AV, fast Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. The hotel also has a dedicated conference café offering unlimited tea and coffee for delegates, plus its own on-site pub for relaxed networking. Other facilities include a heated indoor pool, spa pool, sauna, steam room and gym. On-site dining is at the RBG Bar & Grill, with 24-hour room service.
You're close to Forest Recreation Ground, the Arboretum, and within easy reach of the Lace Market, Nottingham Castle, Trent Bridge cricket ground, University of Nottingham and the City Ground.

Event Testimonials
"What a delicious feast this veritable “tasting menu” was, as a practical and informed workshop delivered by Innovation Visual. With enough information given to allow for a much more informed understanding of AI, and the current impact that AI is and will continue to have on Industry. And enough practical information presented to give you a grounded and confident approach to the basics of AI Agent prompting, I would thoroughly recommend this workshop to any business professional who is keen to get to grips with AI in every respect, at a foundational level. Very good indeed, well worth it."
