Job Title – Trainee Marketing Assistant
Hours – 25 per week

Duration – 6 Months
This role is new and has been created to support the growing marketing requirement at Innovation Visual. This is a responsible position for a keen, creative and self-motivated marketer looking to gain hands-on experience of both digital and traditional marketing. The role involves supporting the Commercial and Marketing Manager in the creation and implementation of the marketing strategy for Innovation Visual. It includes development of written content, work on social media, writing for web, research, email marketing, planning and some design. This is not an exhaustive list however and every day will be different as new projects, challenges and opportunities arise. We have a programme of ongoing skills training and as a company every team member is expected to complete at least 8hrs (pro rata) of training a month.
Innovation Visual is a Growth Marketing Agency, specialising in all aspects of Digital Marketing with a focus on Inbound Marketing. That means, in a nutshell, that we work for a range of clients to improve the way they perform online in order to increase sales and deliver brand awareness for them. We have offices in Elstead, Surrey but the team of 14 works from home, using the office as necessary. You will support the CEO and Commercial & Marketing Manager to develop and implement a marketing strategy for Innovation Visual for 2021 and beyond.
You will play a key role in the day-to-day implementation of that marketing strategy.
The marketing strategy, in accordance with the inbound marketing methodology, will rely heavily on a varied but closely targeted content strategy which you will be asked to help research, plan and write. All written content will be aligned to the existing brand style, tone and personality.
You will take day-to-day responsibility for the company’s social media. Researching and creating posts and images designed to promote the business, share knowledge and drive measurable engagement.
You will also be involved in the company’s email marketing, using platforms such as HubSpot (full training will be provided).
You will be responsible for liaising with the team to make sure that the company blog remains current and interesting. You will prepare some content yourself, but other pieces you will need to work with your team members to prepare.
You will support the Commercial & Marketing Manager to devise, plan and implement campaigns that are commonly designed to target a specific segment of our target market and drive traffic to the site with the aim of generating conversions and leads for the sales team to pursue.
You will be responsible for background research on some leads (Companies that enquire about or indicate interest in our services), designed to support the sales team in their efforts.
You will also help maintain the quality and completeness of our CRM data.
You will be responsible for following a system to file and store all marketing assets and materials.
You will help moderate the content that we use, proofreading, fact and sense checking all content before it is used.
You will also be involved in the preparation of reports to the Management Team on the Marketing Team’s activity and achievements
It’s worth remembering that this list isn’t exhaustive and that this is a new role with huge potential for growth. No day will be the same and it is very likely that, in time, you will be asked to help in a wide variety of projects, not just for Innovation Visual but for our clients as well.
The role is designed to help you develop under the Government Kickstarter Scheme. As an organisation we have a strong emphasis on training and learning and this role is no exception. As part of this role we would expect you to get at least 3x industry recognised Google Qualifications and at least 5x industry recognised HubSpot Qualifications.
