We are recruiting for a Website Content Administrator as part of the Government Kickstart Scheme.

Overview

Job Title – Website Content Administrator

Hours – 25 per week

Location – Home Based (equipment provided)

Duration – 6 Months

The role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced marketing team as a web author/editor, taking on full responsibility and day-to-day management of a single company website. The successful candidate will plan, research, write and edit copy, upload that copy and data, add imagery, and generally maintain the website. They will also be responsible for promoting the website via email, social media, and other marketing channels using the relevant tone, style and voice. Full training will be given. The website this role specifically relates to is https://www.medicalstockimages.net/, an eCommerce site that sells artists’ illustrations (images) to the general public.

About Innovation Visual

Innovation Visual is a Growth Marketing Agency, specialising in all aspects of Digital Marketing with a focus on Inbound Marketing. That means, in a nutshell, that we work for a range of clients to improve the way they perform online in order to increase sales and deliver brand awareness for them. We have offices in Elstead, Surrey but the team of 14+ works from home, using the office as necessary. Innovation Visual was founded by our CEO Tim Butler in 2014 and is now the leading digital marketing agency in Surrey. 

Innovation Visual is part of a group of companies which includes Medical Stock Images Company Limited and Medical Artist Limited. The successful candidate will be working for Innovation Visual as part of the team, however, they will be working primarily on the website for Medical Stock Images Company. There may be the opportunity to work on other, related projects for Innovation Visual however.

What you'll Do

  • Report to the business owner on a weekly basis.

  • You will work in collaboration with the owner, but will handle most of the content creation on your own. You’ll lead the project but you’ll have the support you need to do it.

  • Gain a full understanding of the process of how and why artists’ illustrations are sold on a licensed basis.

  • Refresh all of the content on the company’s website, with company voice, corporate standards, copyright laws, and search engine optimisation in mind.

  • Manage content which will include web pages, images, videos, blog posts, guest articles, reviews and social media and marketing copy to ensure that the website's content is suitable for the audience.

  • Develop an editorial calendar and ensure the team are on board to assist as needed.

  • Maintain the website and monitor its performance. This may include reporting technical issues to the team, developing and implementing ways to drive traffic to the website, performing quality assurance checks, managing the company’s online reputation and measuring content performance.

  • Daily image tasks will include re-sizing and watermarking images, logging their details onto a Word document, image loading onto the website whilst meeting targets in a timely and efficient manner. This is work that needs huge attention to detail.

  • Follow a system in order to file and name the large number of images on the database.

  • Carry out due diligence on email enquiries received from customers.

  • Communicate with the contributor artists via email and phone efficiently and in a way that reflects positively on the business.

  • Take part in virtual meetings and become an integral part of a dynamic group of people.

It’s worth remembering that this list isn’t exhaustive and that this is a new role with huge potential for growth. No day will be the same and it is very likely that, in time, you will be asked to help in a wide variety of projects, not just for the group of companies but potentially for Innovation Visual’s clients as well.

  • Extensive use of Shopify eCommerce Platform
  • WordPress CMS platform
  • Industry Recognised qualifications in Google Analytics and HubSpot

About You

  • Excellent time management: The more organised the web content administrator, the more effective and proactive with regards to efficiency and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to make your own decisions and a keenness to increase the success of the website.
  • Eye for detail. The role requires excellent proofreading and copywriting skills, catching errors before they go live.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable with the ability to handle pressure well and learn on the fly.
  • Willingness to continue with on the job education in order to maintain/improve knowledge of new technologies.
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms.
  • Self-motivated whilst also having a team spirit and willingness to aim high.
  • Knowledge of web design, desktop publishing and photo editing are attractive bonus qualities.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in Marketing communications or another related field.
  • Writing experience with blogging, social media, marketing materials, newspapers or other websites is preferred.
  • A-level English, Grade C or above (or equivalent).
