We have spent the last few weeks raising money and gathering essential supplies to send to Poland, to help the millions of Ukrainian refugees flooding across the border there.
Innovation Visual team members Gosia and Javier, both based in Poland, did amazing work in researching how best to help the refugees heading into Poland. You can see more on what they found out here.
Following our email call-out for help, we were thrilled at the response from our team, our suppliers and of course our amazing clients. The office was flooded with donations of clothes and other necessities, and we also raised over £3000 in cash to send to our chosen local charities to buy more supplies as needed.
Javier flew from Poland to the UK with his partner a few days ago, and yesterday flew back with four huge cases of essentials, which he will be personally delivering to the charities shown above at the Polish-Ukranian border.
Obviously, we received much more in the way of donations than we were able to pack into the cases we sent with Javier. So, all the remaining clothes, shoes and supplies have been packed up in spare cases and will be sent via a separate, British-based, charity that is also taking goods to Poland, to ensure they make it to the people they were intended to help.
