We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team, who wants to rapidly progress to Board level, and who understands the significant impact that our team's development has on our strategic plan for growth and improvement.

We understand the importance of our team and their skills. As we grow we want someone in position who is focused on strategically managing and developing our people resources, as the most important factor in delivering success to our clients.

As this is a hybrid role, you will get to choose how often you are working from home and from the office. We have evolved to a fully remote working system, although occasional visits to our Surrey based office may be required.

About the Role

In this culture, the HR Manager is a facilitator of both the goals of individuals and the strategic aims of the business.

Your day-to-day tasks would include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Define, propose and deliver the strategic People Plan for the business in line with our ultimate goals and vision.

  • Coach and support line managers in People related matters and leadership to support the high growth and change we expect to deliver in the next few years.

  • Work with the rest of the management team to ensure that we have the right people in the right roles, with the right support to deliver outstanding work to clients.

  • Manage talent and succession planning, ensuring that team members all have specific deliverable development plans to meet the Company and their personal goals.

  • Take ownership at a strategic level for building the brilliant team we need and for protecting and developing our company culture throughout our growth plans.

  • Develop and manage a system to track specific skill availability and levels within the business across our expertise areas to allow strategic planning of resource requirements.

  • Run our employee wellness and engagement programme; propose and deliver interventions to ensure people love working at Innovation Visual and are provided with effective employee support (both inside and outside work as we understand people live real lives).

  • Work with Operations and Performance Directors to define job requirements for current and future needs.

  • Identify and deliver new routes to find the best talent and lead the recruitment process from candidate attraction through interview, offer and pre-boarding.

  • Manage, and continually improve, our employee on-boarding processes to give employees the best possible experience of Innovation Visual regardless of their location.

  • Own our employer brand work to present ourselves as a highly desirable place to work.

  • Identify ways to improve our candidate pool communications in order to keep potential candidates engaged with Innovation Visual so that we are seen as a great next step in people’s careers.

  • Manage all HR related matters and administration for the Company.

 


About You

Qualifications

MCIPD qualified or equivalent experience.

Experience: 

Minimum 5 years experience in generalist HR, with specific experience in developing people and teams to fulfil strategic business needs and individuals’ career aspirations.

Skills:

A great communicator and agile thinker that will bring change and evolution in how we manage our people to ensure they deliver excellence to clients and have fulfilling careers within Innovation Visual.

Can work with team members to develop, deliver and evaluate tailored training plans.

Good at translating business requirements into job descriptions and scorecards to ensure alignment of candidates with business needs.

An engaging interviewer that can efficiently identify top talent within the recruitment process and support managers to bring the best people into our business.

We are a small team at present and this is a standalone role – so whilst there is lots of exciting strategic work to get stuck into, you will also need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves and do all the day to day activities within a busy HR function.

 

After a very strong 2020 & 2021, we are continuing to grow and are looking to expand our entire team significantly over the next 12 to 18 months. We want to promote and develop from within wherever possible but our growth also requires an aggressive recruitment drive to find and employ the best talent. This is an exciting opportunity to join our close-knit team of 23 as we grow the business and continue to improve the results we deliver to our clients.

The Business

We are a dedicated team in a rapid growth phase of the business so you will need to be proactive, dedicated, clever and flexible in your work. We work for a range of clients, providing on going digital marketing services to businesses in the £2 million to £150 million size bracket, based in both the UK and overseas. Our main office is in Elstead, near Godalming, Surrey.

The Rewards

We believe that great performance is well rewarded and the remuneration now and into the future will reflect the abilities and on-going performance of the right candidate. The package on offer is in the salary range of £47,000 to £50,000 + pension depending on experience & skills. We provide an industry leading 24 days holiday per year (pro rata) + bank holidays (holidays also increase with length of service) + team trips in the UK and overseas.
