Innovation Visual Win Google AdWords Video Ads Certification Challenge

Innovation Visual are a proud Google Partner and, as a result, our staff have access to Google’s training resources. Google often set their partner agencies the challenge of completing certifications to encourage knowledge development and excellence.

The team at Innovation Visual take training very seriously and set time aside each month to make sure we’re focusing on improving our knowledge, which in turn helps us to deliver a better service for our clients.

The time invested was rewarded when Google announced we had won the Video Ads Certification Challenge. To do so, five members of the team had to pass the AdWords video advertising exam so we are now all certified in YouTube advertising.

Why is Video Advertising Important?

Video advertising is becoming increasingly popular and is proven to be an effective form of marketing. Around 5 billion videos are watched on YouTube every single day! This proves just how popular video is as a form of media. Video can be very engaging and has been proven to work well across the Google Display Network when it comes to advertising.

Videos can catch people’s attention far better than more traditional ads and this can translate into better brand engagement and improved sales. It’s also a cheaper way to advertise compared to the search network as cost per clicks can be as low as a few pennies. If your business is not doing any video advertising you might want to reconsider. Think about what your product or service is and how you can create videos that will engage people and let them know how to solve their problems.

Video is also a great way to improve user experience on your website, as it can increase the time your visitors spend on your site. If people stay on your site for longer, it can improve your rankings in Google search, as the search engine’s algorithms take into account visitors time spent on a page as an indication of how useful that page is.

Just because it’s a video does not mean you can ignore SEO (search engine optimisation), so make sure you’re using appropriate keywords in your video title and are adding any relevant links in the description back to your website or a specific product or service.
