Digital Marketing Apprentice Job Description
About the role
We work with our clients to make them more visible and more profitable online, to help their search rankings be top of Google. Working with clients in both the UK and USA, we provide ongoing digital marketing consultancy, specialising in search marketing.
The Digital Marketing Apprentice will be expected to support and be part of the whole team by providing delivery of marketing tasks for our clients and preparing data for consultants and clients use.
The specific tasks may include:
- Editing content on client and company websites
- Link building
- Data analysis
- Managing Adwords & Bing accounts
- Creating performance reports
- Social media activity
- Website maintenance tasks
- Gathering and optimising images for use in marketing campaigns
- Writing email marketing
Day to day they will be using the following systems:
- Google Analytics
- Google AdWords
- Bing Ads
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Photoshop SurveyMonkey
In addition to completing the formal NVQ qualification the apprentice will be able to also work towards their own goals by being put forward to and passing, a number of key professional digital marketing qualifications during their time with us. Such as Google AdWords Certification, Google Analytics Fundamentals, Bing Ads Accredited Professional. These are recognised within the industry and excellent to have on any digital marketer’s CV.
This role is suitable for an apprentice with the right attitude towards learning and working hard for our demanding B2C and B2B clients. Working in a small team a ‘can do attitude’ as well as the ability to work independently is vital. Good logical reasoning, the ability to use a range of computer and online applications and ambition to develop a career in online marketing are important. Although not a requirement, some knowledge of basic web coding is beneficial given the nature of the role.

Our previous digital apprentice went immediately into the position of Junior Digital Marketing Executive on completion of their qualification.
Requirements and prospects
Knowledge of the digital landscape, good analytical brain, very confident with computers.
Qualifications required & preferred
5x GCSE (or equivalent) English & Maths grade A-C minimum
A-Level passes preferred

Things to consider
We don’t do an easy job, there are deadlines need to be met, ideas and creativity to come up with, it requires steady, intelligent thinking and dedication to get the job done well. But for someone wanting to get into digital marketing this is a brilliant opportunity to learn hands on, to get relevant professional Google Qualifications as well as the core NVQ qualification.
